⁠Vald Filter Gateway

vald-filter-gateway is the image for the vald-filter-gateway component.

This image allows the user to run user-defined custom logic with ingress/egress filter components.

vald-filter-gateway bypasses the user request or response between the Vald cluster and the user-defined ingress filter/egress filter component.

Ingress filtering means the pre-process before the request is processed by the Vald LB Gateway, e.g., converting blob data to the vector, filtering request vector, etc.

Egress filtering means the post-process for the search result returned from the Vald LB Gateway.

⁠Requirement

⁠linux/amd64

• Image: User-defined filter image, vald-lb-gateway, vald-agent-ngt, vald-discoverer-k8s

⁠linux/arm64

• Image: User-defined/Vald official filter image, vald-lb-gateway, vald-agent-ngt, vald-discoverer-k8s

⁠Get Started

vald-filter-gateway is used for one of the components of the Vald cluster, which means it should be used on the Kubernetes cluster, not the local environment or Docker.

Please refer to the Get Started⁠ for deploying the Vald cluster and Filtering configuration⁠ to enable the filter feature.
